Relatively little is known about Guns, Love, and Tentacles at this point, beyond that it will feature Wainwright and Hammerlock’s marriage to some degree. Gearbox has previously said that it will involve reuniting with “old friends,” including the Mechromancer Gaige. There’s also a new region named Xylourgos filled with “mutated rock slugs, ferocious wolven, and occultists with eldritch powers.”

Greg Miller and the Borderlands Show team aren’t holding back on what they’ll be showcasing, either. While details about Guns, Love, and Tentacles have remained secret, that’s not all that will be discussed during the show. In the announcement tweet, Gearbox confirms the show will also talk about Borderlands 3’s next seasonal event, Mayhem Mode 2.0, and perhaps most importantly, level cap increases.
In a big community post made in early February, Gearbox announced some of its upcoming plans. These plans included a 3-level cap increase as part of the Broken Hearts Day event for Valentine’s Day. At the time, Gearbox also teased more level cap increases. The next Borderlands Show could detail another upcoming level cap increase.
There will also be new details about both of April’s big two free content updates. The first is Mayhem Mode 2.0, which will feature overhauled modifiers and lots of loot, and the second is Revenge of the Cartels. Revenge of the Cartels is Borderlands 3’s next major event. It’s supposedly themed like a sci-fi Miami Vice type of event, so it should be exciting.
Guns, Love, and Tentacles arrives on March 26 in Borderlands 3 and it alone should be plenty of content for players to keep enjoying. Leave it to Gearbox to spend the next month dropping more and more content for players to dig in to. The Borderlands 3 party never stops, it seems.
Borderlands 3 is available now on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
